Rahman Khan inagurating the Markaz Conference
Three days long anniversary celebrations of Jamia Markaz has been inaugurated here in Calicut, Kerala,India, With the presence of prominent scholars, social and political leaders over the globe. The Jamia is celebrating its 35th anniversary and 16th convocation conference with unparallel fanfare.
The conference was inaugurated by Rahman Khan, the union minister for Minority affairs of India, who applauded the humanitarian activities and educational services of the Jamia Markaz. He also told to the Muslim community to pay maximum focus on education and social services and to support the scholars like Sheikh Abubakar Ahmad, the founder of the Jamia, by whom the community is always in frontline in Kerala. With reading the marvelous services of Markaz he assured all possible helps to be extended. He told “Many programs and schemes are being executed for minorities and the government is focusing upon educational development of the Muslim community, but it has limitations, even though the sheikh is creating history without much support from the government”
The President of Jamia Markaz, Syed Ali Bafakeeh Chaired over the function. Shaikh Abubacker Ahmad alias Kanthapuram AP Aboobacker Musliyar, the chancellor of the Jamia delivered the key note address and thanked the dignitaries. Professor AK Abdul Hameed welcomed the conference and PKM Saqafi proposed vete of thanks. MP Raghavan, MI Shanavaz, Members of Parliament were addressed the Gathering. Padmasree Asad Moopan, AP Abdul Kareem haji, Syed KS Atakoya Thangal Kumbol, Syed Zainul Abideen, Dr Abdul Hakeem Aazhari were present.
