Samastha Ulama Conference [Scholar’s Meet]started at Kottakkal

Weaving a new lesson to Kerala muslim history, Samastha Ulama Conference [Scholar’s Meet] , Malappuram in the eve of Tuesday. It will end on Thursday 5pm. It is first time in the history of Kerala Muslims, selected 10000 Islamic scholars of Kerala gathering for scholastic discussion of Islam and modern problems which challenge the religion. The conference was inaugurated by the Grant Mufthi of Dubai Ahamed Abdul Azeez. He said in his inaugural address that he was thrilled by seeing the extent of religious freedom that India has allotted to her Muslim minorities. He wondered about the peaceful co-existence of Muslims in a pluralistic society like India and the varieties of methods the traditional Islamic scholars have adopted to propagate Islam peacefully in a secular environment. He further noted that the huge crowd of scholar-delegates the conference has drawn from the different localities of India is the testimony that Islam is a uniquely live presence everywhere in the country. The session was presided over by Samastha Jamiyathul Ulama president Tajul Ulama Sayyid Abdur Rahman al Bukhari Ullal, on the title of conference ‘Islam for Totality’. In his address he said that the Islam is the religion of completeness. It put forward the solutions for the problems of the world. Message of conference was conveyed by Sunni Yuvajana Sangham(SYS) Gen Secretary, Perode Abdu Rahiman Saquafi.


The second session of the conference, ‘Ideology Summit’ started at 6.45pm. The session was headed by E. Sulaiman Musliyar,Vice President of Samastha Jamyiathul Ulama. Sheikh Aboobacker, Gen Secretary of All India Sunni Jamiyathul Ulama presented a paper on ‘Al-Ashaira’. In his paper, he noted that Imam Ash-hari came forward with renaissance teachings when anti-Islamic sounds were raised within the religion and Islamic ideology was widely misgiven. He secured the great true ideology of Islam from the hands of religious reformers who vested interests. The teaching of ‘Parallel Islamist’ paved the way for Muslim dis unity and extremist tendencies. Ahlussunath wal Jamah is the right path of Islam which constitute the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammed [PBUH] and his followers.

Dubai Grand Mufti Dr. Ahmed Abdul Aziz Haddad inaugurated Samastha Ulama Conference

Dubai Grand Mufti Dr. Ahmed Abdul Aziz Haddad inaugurated a conference of Islamic scholars at Kottakkal in the southern Indian state of Kerala on Wednesday.

The grand mufti stressed on the totality of Islam. "Islam is the religion that stands for humanity and human unity," he said.
The Islamic scholars of Kerala are role models for the whole world, the mufti pointed out.
He also commended the unity among different religious communities in the state.
The mufti said he was thrilled by the extent of religious freedom that India has provided to its Muslim minorities
He highlighted the peaceful co-existence of Muslims in a pluralistic society like India and the varieties of methods Islamic scholars have adopted to propagate Islam peacefully in a secular environment.
Samastha President Sayyid Abdurahman Al-Bukhari presided over the conference, which is attended by 10,000 selected scholars from Kerala and other parts of India.
In his address, he pointed out that Islam is the religion of completeness. It put forward solutions to global issues.
Sheikh Aboobacker Ahmad, general secretary of All India Sunni Jamiyathul Ulama, E. Sulaiman Musliyar, Syed Umar Al-Farooque and M. A. Abdul Qader Musliyar among leading scholars who presided over various sessions.
Sayyid Ahmed Al-Rifae, an Islamic scholar from Baghdad, is attending the conference.
It is for the first time in the history of Kerala that Islamic scholars have gathered in such large numbers in the state to discuss key issues.
